One of the best experiences you can have in Alaska is to go on a bear watching excursion on Katmai Island. It was fasinating. It was amazing how protective they were of their catch, but how little effort they would put out to actually catch a salmon. These three would not move two feet left or right to catch a salmon. If the salmon did not jump into their mouths, so be it.
